A statement from West Ham United Football Club...
Last season we were charged by the Football Association with failing to control the behaviour of our supporters at away matches. There were incidents of missile throwing and distasteful chanting, and unfortunately we have received reports of similar events this season.
Any such incidents, whether at home or away, will have serious implications for the club and will not be tolerated. All stadiums have sophisticated CCTV systems and, in addition to any penalty imposed by the court, anyone arrested or subsequently identified will receive a lengthy ban from attending Upton Park.
Please refrain from such behaviour and help the club avoid any further charges.
