Chris Lewington is the Academy of Football’s U18s Goalkeeping Coach.

Former Dagenham & Redbridge and Colchester United goalkeeper Lewington enjoyed a playing career spanning nearly two decades with a host of non-league clubs, including Leatherhead, Margate, Welling United, Maidstone United and Cray Valley Paper Mills.

Born in Sidcup in south east London, Lewington completed a degree in physical education and sport and combined his playing career with working as a part-time teacher at a college in Dartford, and coaching at both Dagenham and Dartford. He also ran his own goalkeeping coaching sessions.

Lewington took on his current role in late 2024.
