West Ham United women’s team defender Shelina Zadorsky has been called up to Canada’s squad for their October international friendlies.
With 113 senior international caps to her name, our vice-captain will look to add another two appearances to her tally when Canada face Switzerland and the Netherlands during the break.
Zadorsky’s side will first travel to Swissporarena in Lucerne to face Switzerland, who hosted UEFA Women’s Euro 2025, on Friday 24 October, with kick-off at 6.30pm BST.
Switzerland reached the quarter-finals of the competition in the summer, but were knocked out after a 2-0 defeat to Spain.
Casey Stoney’s side will then make the visit to Nijmegen for their friendly with the Netherlands on Tuesday 28 October at 7.45pm GMT. The two teams, who met in the final of the Tournoi de France in 2020, will face off at Goffertstadion.
Our No14, who has scored eight goals for her country, helped them lift the Pinatar Cup in February, and also won gold with Canada at the 2020 Olympic Games.
