West Ham United fell to a 2-1 Premier League defeat to Crystal Palace at London Stadium on Saturday.

Jean-Philippe Mateta nodded the opening goal of the contest for Palace on 37 minutes, pouncing after Marc Guéhi's header from a left-wing corner bounced off Maximilian Kilman and struck the Hammers' crossbar.

West Ham hit back from a corner of our own four minutes after the restart, as Bowen guided his header in from El Hadji Malick Diouf's delivery to bring the scores back level.

However, Palace would move back in front midway through the second half when Tyrick Mitchell slammed home a volley at the back post - and his goal proved decisive as Graham Potter's men could not find a route back into the contest for a second time.
