PRIZE DRAW OVERVIEW

  1. This is a promotion organised and run by West Ham United Football Club Limited, a private limited company incorporated in England and Wales (under company number 00066516) registered at London Stadium, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London, E20 2ST, England. The “Promoter”). The Promoter is operating a prize draw for supporters to have the opportunity to win a goody bag (the “Competition”).

  2. Entrants to the Competition (“Entrants”) are automatically deemed to have accepted, and agreed to be bound by, these terms and conditions (the “T&Cs”) upon entry into the Competition.

ENTRY PROCESS

  1. The Competition will be open for entry between 9am BST on 13 September 2025 and 9am BST on 20 September 2025 (the “Closing Date”). Any entries completed or received after the Closing Date and/or other than in accordance with the entry requirements set out below will be automatically disqualified from the Competition. 

  2. To enter the Competition, Entrants must write a letter to their favourite West Ham United player. Letters should be personal, positive and full of team spirit. Entries must be submitted using the official competition form available at whufc.com/junior-hammers/competitions/competitions. Entries will not be accepted by any other means.

  3. The Competition is free to enter, and no purchase will be necessary. The winner(s) of the Competition (the “Winners” and each a “Winner”) shall be reviewed and the winner selected by an independent judge, who is demonstrably impartial and has no connection to the administration or running of the Competition on, or soon after, the Closing Date

ELIGIBILITY

  1. The Competition is only open to residents in the UK aged 16 years or under at the time of entry to the Competition, but excluding employees of the Promoter, its associated companies and agencies, their immediate families or anyone else involved in the organisation or administration of the Competition. All entries must obtain permission from their parent or guardian, who must also provide their relevant details to submit entry to the Competition. Such permissions obtained from the relevant parent or guardian shall include confirmation that the parent or guardian agrees to the Entrant’s entry to the Competition, that they agree to the Prizes being awarded to the Entrant and that they will accompany the Entrant during any travel in connection with the Prize winnings.

  2. Each Entrant may only enter the Competition once. If the same Entrant submits multiple entries or the Promoter discovers that an Entrant has entered the Competition on someone else’s behalf (Excluding in the case of a parent or guardian), then the Promoter may, at its absolute sole discretion, limit such entries to a single entry only or disqualify that Entrant from the Competition.

  3. In entering the Competition, each Entrant confirms that they are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the Prize (as defined below) that they may win. The Promoter may require an Entrant to provide proof that they are eligible to enter the Competition (including proof of age or residence).

  4. The Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any Entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe that the Entrant has breached these T&Cs.

PRIZE

  1. There will be one (1) winner of the Competition, who shall be awarded with [one] prize in total which shall be a goody bag that includes 1 scarf, 1 Pin Badge, 1 mini football and 1 Pennant (the “Prize”).

  2. Only the Winner will be contacted via the parent or guardian email address that they are required to give on entry as soon as reasonably practicable after the completion of the Competition via [email protected]

  3. The Winner or their parent or guardian must confirm that they are able to accept the Prize within 48 hours of being notified by the Promoter that they are a Winner. In the event that any Winner fails to confirm their acceptance of the Prize by this date, or is unable to accept the Prize that they have won for any reason or the Promoter determines that a Winner has breached these T&Cs, the Promoter shall make reasonable efforts to contact the Winner(s) but, if the Winner(s) cannot be contacted, then the Promoter reserves the right to offer the Prize to another Entrant. The Promoter does not accept any responsibility for failure by any Winner to claim their Prize.

  4. Each Prize will be sent to the Winner(s) or their parent or guardian by Royal Mail postal delivery within 30 days of being notified of their win. The Winner(s) will not be liable for any costs related to shipping. 

  5. Prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered. The Prizes may also not be sold by the Winner(s) or passed on to another individual (e.g. in the case of tickets). Prizes do not include anything not expressly set out in these T&Cs including spending money, food and drink, associated travel and accommodation, medical or other general expenses. In the case of ticket Prizes, they shall also be subject to the applicable ticketing terms and conditions and any applicable ground rules at the venue where the fixture or experience is held. If relevant, the Winner(s) will be responsible for ensuring that they and any person travelling with them are available to travel and hold valid passports, any necessary visas and travel documents on the relevant dates. The Promoter shall not be responsible if the Winner(s) is/are unable to take up the Prize for such reasons.

  6. The Prize(s) shall always be subject to availability, and the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute any Prize for an alternative prize if necessary.

  7. The Winner(s) may be contacted to participate in publicity related to the Competition but participation is optional. If the Winner(s) agree(s) to participate in any such publicity activities, the Winner(s) and their guest or if the Winner is under 18 years of age, their parent or guardian agree that the Promoter may, with prior consent of the Winner(s) and their guest or, as relevant, their parent or guardian, as , record, film and/or photograph their participation in all aspects of the relevant Prize and exploit, and authorise third parties to exploit, such films, photographs or recordings in any media now known or hereafter invented in any part of the world and for any purpose whatsoever in perpetuity, with no payment being due. The Promoter will, in due time, provide the Winner(s) with all relevant information regarding this specific processing of personal data and request consent from the Winner(s) before implementing said processing. Where the Winner(s) is under 18 years old, the consent of their parent or guardian will always be sought in respect of any publicity.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

  1. Neither the Promoter nor any of its partners, affiliates, agents, employees, officers, directors or representatives will be liable (to the fullest extent permitted by law) for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage arising out of the organising or holding of the Competition or as a result of any Entrant’s participation in the Competition or as a result of winning, collecting, use or enjoyment of any Prize, if the Competition does not run as planned or if any part of any Prize is unable to be delivered for any technical or other reasons. Entrants’ statutory rights shall not affected. 

  2. If the Competition or any part of it is not capable of running or being completed as planned for any reason, including but not limited to reasons of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition without liability. 

  3. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for Competition entries that are not successfully completed or submitted, regardless of cause, including (without limitation) due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure, of any kind. 

ENTRANTS’ PERSONAL DATA

  1. Any personal data relating to any individual which is received by the Promoter in relation to the Competition will be used in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation and the Promoter’s Privacy Policy, which can be found at: https://www.whufc.com/privacy-policy

  2. The Promoter must either publish or make available information that indicates a valid award took place for a Prize. To comply with this obligation, the Promoter will send the surname of the  Winner(s) to anyone who emails  [email protected] within one month after the Closing Date. If you object to your surname being published or made available, please contact the Promoter. However, the Promoter must still provide this information in accordance with applicable laws when requested. In such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the information to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

  3. If an Entrant has any questions about these T&Cs, including any request to exercise their legal rights under data protection law, they should contact the Promoter at [email protected]

GENERAL

  1. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry to the Competition, to disqualify from the Competition or to refuse to award the Prize(s) to anyone who it reasonably considers has breached these T&Cs or to anyone who, in the Promoter’s sole opinion, has otherwise acted improperly or dishonestly. 

  2. The decision of the Promoter regarding any aspect of the Competition is final and binding (including as to the award of the Prize(s)) and no correspondence will be entered into regarding any such decision. 

  3. If any provision of these T&Cs is found to be invalid by any court having competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of that provision will not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of these T&Cs, which shall remain in full force and effect.

  4. These T&Cs and any dispute or claim (including any non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with them will be governed by and construed in accordance with English law and all Entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts in relation to any disputes or claims arising out of, or in connection with, these T&Cs or the Competition.
