Experienced England international Katie Zelem initially joined West Ham United women's team on loan from London City Lionesses in January 2026.
The move, which was made permanent in the summer of 2026, saw Zelem reunited with head coach Rita Guarino, who she had previously played under at Italian club Juventus in 2017/18.
After starting and winning two FA Women’s Super League titles with hometown club Liverpool and her year in Turin, Zelem captained Manchester United and won the Women’s FA Cup in 2024.
Zelem appeared twice for England’s Lionesses at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia.
