Gabriel Caliste joined West Ham United in 2021.

The midfielder signed his scholarship in the summer of 2023, having marked his U18s debut with an assist in a 3-1 U18 Premier League South win at Leicester City as a schoolboy in April 2023.

The following season, 2023/24, saw Caliste make 19 U18 Premier League South appearances as the young Hammers finished second in the table. He also made his FA Youth Cup debut as a substitute in the third-round win over Southampton in December 2023.

In September 2024, Caliste made his international debut for Mauritius in a 0-0 draw against India in Hyderabad, becoming the Club's first Mauritius international.

Caliste signed his first professional contract in January 2025, then helped the U18s win their first-ever Premier League Cup, scoring in the quarter-final against defending champions Manchester United and playing in the final at Reading.

After a handful of caps for Mauritius during the 2024/25 season, he made his competitive debut for the African island nation in CAF World Cup qualifying action against Cape Verde, one year and one day after earning his first cap against India.

For the U21s, Caliste made 30 appearances in all competitions during the 2025/26 season, including a substitute appearance in the National League Cup final defeat at Boreham Wood.
