At the Academy since U12s, Vinnie Perkins is a strong right-sided defender who is comfortable as a centre-back or full-back. Tenacious in the tackle and good at reading the game, throughout his Academy development, Perkins has consistently displayed great leadership qualities.

He made his debut for the U18s in a 3-1 league defeat to Reading in April 2025, while still a schoolboy, then signed his scholarship in July of the same year.

In his first year as a scholar, Perkins started all but one of our U18s’ first 20 games in all competitions - including the FA Youth Cup and U17 Premier League Cup which our scholars went on to win - until sustaining a season-ending injury in the U17 Premier League Cup semi-final.
