Skilful with the ball, and with plenty of work rate off it, Elisha Sowunmi is a versatile attacker, comfortable on the left or right or as No10.
Having signed Scholarship terms ahead of the 2023/24 season, Sowunmi became a key part of the U18s side marking his step up from schoolboy football with a brace in a memorable 4-2 win over Tottenham Hotspur in December 2023. He made his Premier League 2 debut for the U21s on the last day of the regular season, playing out the final minutes as the development side lost 3-1 to Leicester City.
In his second year as a scholar, he established himself as the top goalscorer in all competitions for Lauris Coggin's U18s, scoring hat-tricks against Reading and Aston Villa in Premier League South. He also started every game as the U18s won the Premier League Cup for the first time, assisting Josh Ajala's winning goal in the final against Reading.
