Fantasy Premier League - Gameweek Six hints and tips

Two tough fixtures against Liverpool and Manchester City have come and gone, and Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers will again cast an eye over West Ham United players as the Irons seek to return to winning ways this weekend.

A match against newly-promoted Sheffield United at London Stadium on Saturday afternoon will give the Hammers the chance to do just that. And hopefully, earn a few FPL points too.

Make sure you note the FPL transfer deadline, with Gameweek Six starting on Saturday 16 September 2023 at 1.30pm.

On whufc.com and our Official Programme, we’ll be giving you tips and tricks and Hammers to watch across the season!

Paquetá!

Consecutive home matches, with Sheffield United and then Newcastle United visiting London Stadium, gives Paquetá (£6.0m) a chance to show his class once more.

The talented Hammer showed his creative quality at Anfield. Jarrod Bowen’s strike was started with a delightful lofted pass forward by the No19, who spotted his teammates dart into space. Paquetá again provided the spark in the final third.

Paqueta

Showing his quality on and off the ball in 2023/24, Paquetá picked up two-goal contributions in his first four games of the season. The 26-year-old scored in the 3-1 win over Chelsea and registered an assist in the 2-1 win over Luton Town.

Now the Brazil creative will look to attack successive home fixtures. Should the Irons find a positive result over the next few week, Paqueta is likely to be involved.

Expect him to add to his 19 FPL points recorded this season over the next few weeks and owned by under 2 per cent of managers he would prove a valuable differential too.

West Ham United’s next three fixtures: SHU (h), NEW (h), AVL (a)

Opposition Watch: Sheffield United

A tough defeat to Newcastle United last time out means the Hammers will be aware of a side looking to respond and motivated to respond too.

Searching for their first win of the league season, the Blades head to East London, having won two of the last five head-to-heads in all competitions (L2, D1).

FPL bosses may be tempted by one of a front two that started before the defeat to Newcastle.

Ollie McBurnie (£5.4m) will return from suspension against the Hammers and could partner Cameron Archer (£4.5m) in attack.

Archer has started the last three games and returned a season-best haul of 12 points in a 2-2 draw against Everton earlier this month.

And with a low price tag would be a good player to occupy that final striker slot. He is owned by six per cent of FPL bosses.

Sheffield United’s next three fixtures: WHU (a), FUL (a), MUN (h)
