The wait for match action is almost over for Graham Potter’s West Ham United side, with our pre-season training camp in the Black Forest of southern Germany coming to an end, and our trip to Grasshopper Club Zürich on the horizon.
By the time the whistle blows for kick-off at the GC/Campus on Saturday 19 July, at 3pm CEST (2pm BST), it will have been just shy of eight weeks since our last game against Ipswich Town at Portman Road in the Premier League.
The Hammers took to the practice pitch for the final time near the town of Donaueschingen on Friday before their opening pre-season clash of the summer against Grasshopper, and as they were watched by children from a local nursery at SV Aasen 1928’s training ground, they were adding the final touches to preparations for our meeting with the 27-times Swiss champions.
Our Club photographer was on hand to capture the latest action, which you can view in the gallery above.
