West Ham United women’s team manager Rehanne Skinner has made seven changes from the side that defeated Brighton & Hove Albion in the Subway® Women's League Cup on Wednesday night for our Barclays Women’s Super League clash at London City Lionesses.
One of the changes sees striker Riko Ueki come back into the line-up, meaning the Japan international will make her 50th WSL appearance for the Hammers at Copperjax Community Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Elsewhere, goalkeeper Kinga Szemik, defender Anouk Denton, midfielders Katrina Gorry and Oona Siren and attackers Ffion Morgan, Viviane Asseyi and Shekiera Martinez all come back into the side.
That means Skinner has made only one change from our last WSL meeting, at home to Aston Villa, as Amber Tysiak makes her third league start of the season, coming in for Eva Nyström.
So, Szemik starts in between the sticks in Bromley and will be supported by a defence of Yu Endo, Tysiak, Shelina Zadorsky and Denton.
Midfielders Gorry and Siren will start alongside each other for the sixth successive league match, and they will help support an attack of Morgan, Asseyi, Ueki and Martinez.
France international Asseyi notched a brace and Ueki also found the net the last time we faced London City in the Subway® Women's League Cup in November 2024.
Also on target that afternoon was Colombia international Manuela Paví and she is named amongst the substitutes at Copperjax Community Stadium.
Skinner, who will take charge of her 100th WSL match on Sunday, has eight other players she can turn to on the bench: goalkeeper Megan Walsh, defenders Nyström and Hanshaw, midfielders Anna Csiki, Sarah Brasero and Halle Houssein, and forwards Leila Wandeler and Seraina Piubel.
The latter will be eying up a second goal in as many games after she netted our equaliser at Chigwell Construction Stadium against the Seagulls in midweek.
