In Pictures | Hammers arrive in Germany

West Ham United touched down in Germany to a warm welcome on Saturday to begin a pre-season camp that will conclude with a match against Swiss Super League club Grasshopper Club Zürich.

A 29-man travelling squad, including first-team players who have not been involved in international fixtures over June and early July, and no fewer than 12 Academy of Football graduates and prospects, were on the flight to Switzerland, and after reaching Zürich at 12noon local time, were transported just across the border into the Black Forest of southern Germany.

Head Coach Graham Potter and his staff will put the players through their paces with various running and on-the-ball drills in a bid to continue working towards match fitness, ahead of facing Grasshopper in a friendly game at GC/Campus training complex next Saturday.

Our photographers have been on hand to capture some of the best photos from the start of their journey, which you can view by clicking on the image above!
