In the EFL Championship, George Earthy helped Bristol City secure a place in the promotion play-offs with a 2-2 comeback draw against Preston North End at Ashton Gate. Introduced with half an hour to play, Earthy contributed as the Robins overturned a two-goal deficit to clinch a point. Thanks to results elsewhere, City sealed a top-six finish for the first time since 2008.
Following full-time, Earthy was named Bristol City’s Young Player of the Season, capping a memorable loan spell that now continues into the play-offs, where the Robins will face Sheffield United in the semi-finals across two legs on 8 and 12 May.

Also in the Championship, Freddie Potts rounded off a standout season for Portsmouth with a 1-1 draw at home to Hull City, who ensured their own survival on goal difference. Potts joined his teammates for a post-match lap of honour at Fratton Park, celebrating a campaign in which he made 37 league appearances, 35 of which were starts, scored once and provided four assists in his first full season at second-tier level.
Over in League Two, Patrick Kelly was not involved in Doncaster Rovers' final-day 2-1 victory at Notts County, but will receive a winner's medal as Rovers secured the title with four consecutive wins to close out the campaign. Kelly featured 38 times in all competitions and scored three goals during his first season out on loan.
In the National League South, Mason Terry was named Hornchurch Supporters’ Player of the Season after an outstanding campaign for the sixth-tier side. The 20-year-old goalkeeper, who also won Concord Rangers' fans’ award last term, kept 17 clean sheets in 53 appearances and ended the season with three straight shutouts as Hornchurch secured a ninth-place finish, their highest ever in the division.

On the continent, Mohamadou Kanté came off the bench to play just over 30 minutes as Paris FC clinched promotion to Ligue 1 for the first time since 1978. A 1-1 draw at Martigues was enough to confirm their place in France’s top flight with a game to spare.
Finally, in Saudi Arabia, Kurt Zouma played the full 90 minutes as Al-Orobah came from behind to beat Al-Riyadh 4-2 away from home, moving out of the relegation places with two matches remaining in their league campaign.
