Fantasy Premier League | Gameweek 35 hints and tips

West Ham United welcome Tottenham Hotspur to London Stadium this weekend for our final London derby of the campaign, as Graham Potter’s side look to return to winning ways in the Premier League.

The Hammers go into the match sitting 17th in the table, having gone seven matches without victory, and they will have their eyes firmly focused on securing a first three-point haul since they saw off Leicester City at home at the end of February.

Tottenham, meanwhile, just one point ahead of West Ham, have endured their worst season in Premier League history and have so-far suffered 19 defeats from their 34 matches in the top flight.

But the old cliché suggests form goes out the window in derbies, and that will be no different this time around in what promises to be another enthralling clash in the capital.

The Spurs fixture has a Fixture Difficulty Rating (FDR) of three out of five, suggesting this game represents a strong opportunity to collect points by picking Hammers in your FPL team.

The Gameweek 35 transfer deadline is set for 6.30pm on Friday 2 May, ahead of a mouth-watering feast of weekend action that begins with Manchester City v Wolverhampton Wanderers at Etihad Stadium later that same evening.

While we will be giving you FPL tips and tricks throughout the remainder of the 2024/25 season on whufc.com, see below for some of our picks for the upcoming round.

Tomáš Souček celebrates at Brighton & Hove Albion

Souček to sink Spurs?

Now could be the time to bring Tomáš Souček (£4.8m) back into your line-up, with the midfielder marking his return to the starting XI last weekend by scoring his 35th Premier League goal for West Ham United, an excellent downward header that looked set to secure a morale-boosting victory.

It wasn’t to be, however, as two goals in three minutes condemned the Irons to an agonising defeat, but Souček, who has mastered the art of scoring in big moments throughout his five years at the Club, can deliver yet again in the London derby.

Meanwhile, Hammers captain Jarrod Bowen (£7.6m) is always worthy of inclusion.

As it stands, Bowen has now accumulated 154 points this season in Fantasy, having registered another nine points against Brighton & Hove Albion in Gameweek 34, which was one of 18 attacking returns for him across 30 starts this season.

Mohammed Kudus (£6.2m) ended a run of 15 games without a goal in the Premier League at American Express Stadium when sweeping home a Bowen cut-back, and the Ghanaian, who was sent off in the reverse fixture in north London, will be eager to make amends at London Stadium.

Son Heung-min

Opposition Watch: Tottenham Hotspur

Owned by just over four per cent of managers, Spurs’ South Korean forward Son Heung-min (£9.7m) could be a differential against West Ham United this weekend should he return from injury, having been sidelined for the last three Gameweeks.

Son claimed an eight-point return in the reverse match in October, notching his side’s fourth in a 4-1 win, while his 16 Big Chances Created is the joint-fourth highest in the Premier League this season.

Elsewhere, despite Tottenham Hotspur’s struggles this season, Potter's side will be wary of the threats posed by Dejan Kulusevski (£6.2m).

With ten goals and ten assists to his name in all competitions, including against the Hammers in north London earlier this season, the Swede is averaging an attacking return every other start this term.

Finally, there is a dearth of attacking talent in the defender spots this season in Fantasy, but Spurs full-back Pedro Porro (£5.3m) is an exception to the general rule.

The Spaniard has amassed 99 FPL points and has registered three goals and eight assists in all competitions this season, making him an attractive proposition for the visitors.
