Taking a look back at a classic West Ham United moment on this day in history...

Matthew Rush scored one and set up another to set West Ham United on our way to a crucial 2-0 victory over Southampton on this day in 1994.

The Irons welcomed the Saints to the Boleyn Ground sat 14th in the Premier League table and climbed up to 12th with this three-point haul.

On the afternoon when Julian Dicks made his second Irons debut following a year away at Liverpool, Martin Allen opened the scoring when he converted Rush's cut-back.

Rush then sealed the points himself, calmly slotting home after being played in by Tony Cottee.

Enjoy those goals again in the video player above.
