West Ham United women’s team striker Princess Ademiluyi has been included in England’s U19 squad for this summer’s 2025 UEFA Women's U19 Championship in Poland.
The 18-year-old, who spent the first half of the season with Barclays Women’s Championship side Charlton Athletic, helped the Hammers enjoy a record-breaking 2024/25 and will now turn her attention to propelling her country to success - heading into the tournament full of confidence having scored six goals, including a four-goal haul against Ukraine, from nine England caps.
Booking their spot at the tournament, which runs from Sunday 15 June to Friday 27 June, with a 100 per cent record in their second-round qualification campaign - courtesy of thumping victories over Ukraine, Austria and Belgium - the Young Lionesses are now looking to lift the prestigious trophy for the first time since 2009, having reached the semi-finals last year.
Ademiluyi and her England team have been drawn in Group B alongside reigning champions Spain, as well as Portugal and the Netherlands. Meanwhile, in Group A, hosts Poland will go head-to-head with France, Italy and Sweden.
Lauren Smith’s side will first take on the Netherlands in Tarnobrzeg (Sunday 15 June, kick-off 4pm BST) before facing Portugal, also in Tarnobrzeg (Wednesday 18 June, 4pm BST). They will then conclude their group-stage campaign against holders Spain (Saturday 21 June, 6pm BST) in Stalowa Wola.
Everyone at West Ham United would like to congratulate Princess on her call-up to the England U19 squad and wish her every success for the tournament.
