Adam Pengelly became assistant manager of West Ham United women's team on 21 June, joining Rita Guarino's coaching staff alongside former goalkeeping coach Chris Pipe.
Pengelly arrived having spent the majority of his coaching career in his native Australia. He began his journey at University of Queensland Football Club as an academy coach in 2013, before being appointed director of coaching three years later. He then plied his trade at Brisbane Roar and Brisbane Strikers as an academy head coach at both clubs. After spells with Football Queensland and San Diego Wave in the United States, Pengelly spent nearly three years at Football Australia working across both the men's and women's national teams before moving to Scotland in the summer of 2025.
