In his first year as a scholar, Hooper made 18 appearances in all competitions keeping two clean sheets.

Hooper’s second year saw him sign professional terms with the Club, win his first ten games for the U18s, before earning his first U21s start in February, keeping a clean sheet in a 3-0 Premier League 2 win over Crystal Palace.

Promoted to the U21s towards the end of the 2025/26 campaign, he also earned his first international call-up with England U18s in March 2026. The young goalkeeper made his international bow in the final game of the season, playing 60 minutes in a 6-1 win over Cyprus.
