David Chigwada signed Scholarship terms in summer 2024 joining the Academy of Football from Manchester City, where he was a prolific scorer in the two previous seasons, after being signed from Blackburn Rovers at Under-14 level. He is a quick, aggressive runner who can play wide and down the middle.

He made his debut for Lauris Coggin's U18s in a 3-2 defeat against Arsenal on the opening day of the 2024/25 season before signing his first professional contract in November 2024.
