Rui Pedro Silva was appointed as West Ham United Assistant Head Coach in July 2026.

The experienced Silva's arrival reunited him with Head Coach Nuno Espírito Santo, having previously worked as his assistant during successful spells at five different clubs over more than a decade.

The Portuguese first worked alongside Nuno at Málaga and Panathinaikos, then served as his assistant at Rio Ave, Valencia, Porto, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Nottingham Forest.

Silva played a big part in helping Wolves to the EFL Championship title in 2018, back-to-back seventh-place Premier League finishes and the UEFA Europa League quarter-finals. The pair then led Nottingham Forest into Europe in 2024/25.

He spent the second half of the 2025/26 season back at Wolves, where he worked under Rob Edwards.
