Hammers announced for FIFA Club Interactive World Cup

West Ham United have been named as one of the participants in the inaugural FIFA Club Interactive World Cup (FICWC), to be held in London on Saturday 5 August.

The Hammers have been a leader in the sphere of professional football and eSports, having had a FIFA player since November 2016, with Jamie 'Jamboo' Rigden representing the Club in events at home and abroad.

Now, Jamboo will be one of 24 players from 19 professional clubs to take part in the first FICWC - which offers places at the FIFA Interactive World Cup Grand Final for the PlayStation and Xbox champions.

The FICWC is the first major inter-club tournament of FIFA 17 to be organised by the game's global governing body and will see the Hammers compete against the likes of Manchester City, Schalke 04, Paris St Germain and Valencia in London.

The following clubs have been confirmed for the FICWC, with seven more still to be revealed:
