A direct wide player who can also operate in a central forward role, Junior Stanislas is yet another talented young player to have come through the ranks at the Academy of Football.

Having caught the eye during two FA Cup meetings with Chelsea during a loan spell at Southend United, Stanislas broke into the West Ham United first-team at the end of the 2008/09 season.

The 2009/10 campaign saw the south London-born player continue with his development, netting important Boleyn Ground goals in the Carling Cup meeting with Millwall and Barclays Premier League draw with Fulham. However, hernia surgery slowed him down during the second half of the 2010/11 campaign.

2010/11

Made six Barclays Premier League appearances, four of them starts…Scored his only senior goal of the season in the 1-1 Barclays Premier League draw at Blackburn Rovers on 18 December 2010…Appeared twice in the Carling Cup, starting the 1-0 second-round victory over Oxford United…Totalled eight first-team appearances in all competitions, scoring one goal…Started the season by scoring in the Barclays Premier Reserve League victories at Everton and at home to Wigan Athletic…Totalled three Barclays Premier Reserve League appearances, scoring twice…Was ruled out from January 2011 until the end of the season after undergoing hernia surgery.

2009/10

Made a career-high 26 Premier League appearances, including eleven starts…Scored two Premier League goals…Netted a last-gasp equaliser in the 2-2 home draw with Fulham on 4 October 2009…Scored in the 5-3 home win over Burnley on 28 November 2009…Scored twice in 3-1 League Cup second-round win over Millwall on 24 August 2009, including late equaliser and an extra-time penalty…Started the home FA Cup third-round defeat by Arsenal on 3 January 2010…Totalled 29 appearances and four goals in all competitions…Made five Barclays Premier Reserve League South starts, scoring in the home 3-2 victory over Fulham at the Boleyn Ground on 27 April 2010.

2008/09

Made his Premier League and first-team debut in the home goalless draw with West Bromwich Albion on 16 March 2009...Scored on his first Premier League start in a 2-0 home victory over Sunderland on 4 April 2009…Scored the winner in the 2-1 home Premier League win over Middlesbrough on 24 May 2009…Ended the season with nine Premier League appearances, seven of them starts, and two goals to his name…Joined League One Southend United on loan for two months on 27 November 2008…Scored twice on his debut in a 3-1 home FA Cup second-round victory over Luton Town on 29 November 2009…Starred for The Shrimpers in two FA Cup third-round meetings with Chelsea…Made a total of six league and three FA Cup appearances for Southend United, scoring three goals…Made five Barclays Premier Reserve League South starts and one substitute appearance, scoring in the 1-0 home win over Arsenal on 21 October 2008.

2007/08

Enjoyed a fantastic season at FA Premier Academy League level, scoring ten goals in 24 appearances…Made eleven Barclays Premier Reserve League South appearances, four of them starts, and scored three goals…Made his Barclays Premier Reserve League South debut in the 2-1 home defeat by Aston Villa on 29 August 2007…Scored his first Barclays Premier Reserve League South goals by netting twice in the 8-0 victory at Derby County on 26 November 2007.

2006/07

Made 26 FA Premier Academy League appearances, 23 of them starts, and scored nine goals.

2005/06

Made his FA Premier Academy League debut by starting in the 3-2 defeat at Watford on 8 April 2006…Also started the 3-0 home defeat by Aston Villa on 29 April.

Capped by England at U19, U20 and U21 level...Made his U20 debut as a substitute against Italy at Loftus Road on 31 March 2009…Made his U21 debut in the friendly with Netherlands in Groningen on 11 August 2009…Made his second U21 appearance in the UEFA European U21 Championship qualifier in 2-1 win over FYR Macedonia in Prilep on 4 September 2009.
