Experienced Japan international full-back Yu Endo signed for West Ham United in August 2025.

Endo spent 15 years at her former club, WE League side Urawa Reds in her homeland, making 171 appearances and winning a number of titles, including back-to-back WE League and AFC Women's Champions League titles in 2023 and 2024.

The defender enjoyed a memorable debut for Japan, scoring in a 6-1 friendly win over Colombia in Sakai in April 2025.

Endo was a regular member of the West Ham squad in her first season, making 15 Women’s Super League appearances and five more in domestic cup competitions.

2025/26

Made her West Ham United debut in our Barclays Women's Super League clash at Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday 21 September... Started her first match for the Club in the Hammers' 5-1 success at Charlton Athletic in the Subway® Women's League Cup... Made 20 appearances across all competitions in her debut season in east London.

Before West Ham

Spent 15 years at Urawa Reds before joining the Hammers… Made her professional debut for Urawa Reds in October 2016 before becoming a mainstay in the side in 2018…After finishing second in the league in 2019/20, Endo and Urawa Reds won the Nadeshiko League Division 1 title and promotion to Japan’s top tier… Made 19 appearances in her first season in the WE League and won Empress's Cup… In 2022/23 and 2023/24, she won back-to-back WE League titles and AFC Women's Champions League trophies, whilst also lifting the WE League Cup in 2023… Featured in every league match in 2023/24 and 2024/25… Left Urawa Reds having made 171 appearances, scoring 13 goals.
