Canvey-born goalkeeper Mason Terry joined West Ham United as an U9, having been scouted playing for Sunday league club Essex Allstars.
The tall shot-stopper worked his way up the age-groups and played a huge part in the U18s double success in 2022/23, when they won the FA Youth Cup and U18 Premier League South title. A starter in all six FA Youth Cup matches, Terry conceded just six goals in the tournament.
Terry signed his first professional contract in the summer of 2023 and was named the Club's Scholar of the Year in November of the same year.
He spent the 2023/24 season on loan at Concord Rangers, based on his home Canvey Island. Despite being relegated from the Isthmian League Premier Division, Terry's standout performances earned him the Supporters' Player of the Season award.
Terry made the step up to National League South in 2024/25, signing for newly-promoted Hornchurch on a season-long loan. The young shot stopper impressed once again, making a total of 53 appearances, keeping 17 clean sheets and winning another Supporters' Player of the Season award.
In 2025/26, Terry moved up the football pyramid again to the National League, joining Essex outfit Braintree Town on loan. He made 41 appearances for the Iron, kept 12 clean sheets, earned 16 player of the match awards and even scored and assisted. Unsurprisingly, Terry collected his third consecutive Supporters' Player of the Season award.
Terry was loaned to EFL League Two club Port Vale in the summer of 2026, but unfortunately saw his spell cut short by injury.
