Ricky Simons joined West Ham United’s Academy of Football in 2022.
Simons was initially a Lead Youth Development Phase Coach for the U15s and U16s, where he was part of the staff who helped the U15s win the Premier League Floodlit Shield in 2023/24.
He moved to a role as Assistant Coach for the U18s in the Professional Development Phase in November 2025, and was part of the coaching staff as the U17s won the Premier League Cup in April 2016.
A UEFA A Licence holder and a member of the Premier League’s Elite Coach Accreditation Scheme (ECAS), Simons attended Brittons Academy in Rainham and is a West Ham supporter.
Prior to joining the Academy of Football, he worked as a Youth Development Phase Coach with Millwall’s U14s and U15s.
He has also worked with Aveley and run his own small group coaching sessions for young players in the Foundation and Youth Development Phases.
