A versatile player who can play across the back line as well as central midfield, Aaron Kamara joined the Academy of Football from Southend United at U14 level.

Showing great tenacity and energy in his U18 appearances in the Premier League South, Kamara signed Scholarship terms ahead of 2024/25.

Just days after helping the U18s to qualify for the Premier League Cup semi-finals with a penalty shootout victory over Manchester United, Kamara signed his first professional contract at Chadwell Heath Training Ground. He would end the season with a Premier League Cup winners medal starting the final where the young Hammers beat Reading 2-1 at the Select Car Leasing Stadium.

Despite playing every minute in all but one of the U18s’ first seven games of the 2025/26 season, an anterior cruciate ligament injury ruled him out for the rest of the campaign.
