Paco Jémez was appointed as a men’s First Team Coach by Nuno Espírito Santo in January 2026.
The Spaniard adds experience and knowledge to Nuno’s backroom staff, having managed over 500 matches during a coaching career spanning nearly two decades.
A Spain international centre-back capped 21 times by La Roja, Jémez enjoyed a long and successful playing career in his home country. He appeared over 250 times in La Liga for Rayo Vallecano, Deportivo La Coruña, where he was a teammate of Nuno, and Zaragoza, with whom he won the Spanish Cup in 2001.
Jémez moved into coaching in 2007 and has led clubs in Spain, Mexico and Iran, including five years at Rayo Vallecano, taking the Madrid-based club to a record-high eighth-place finish in La Liga in 2012/13.
