Steve Kirby was appointed West Ham United women’s team assistant manager in July 2025.
Kirby graduated from the University of Worcester with a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Sports Science in 2007 before going on to become community schools operations co-ordinator at Hereford United Community Trust.
After more than three years at Hereford, Kirby joined MK Dons as football development manager, spending a year and a half in the role before becoming the club's academy's lead youth development coach.
In May 2016, Kirby was appointed assistant manager of Leicester City U18s, where he also spent two seasons as the club's women's team's first-team coach.
Then, in September 2024, Kirby was appointed head coach of Bristol City, leading them to a sixth-place finish in the Barclays Women's Super League 2 in 2024/25 before making the move to east London.
