Adrian - full name Adrian San Miguel del Castillo - is a tall and athletic goalkeeper who has become a firm favourite among the Claret and Blue Army since arriving from Real Betis Balompie on a free transfer in summer 2013.

The Seville-born stopper passed the 100-appearance mark in Claret and Blue in spring 2016 and his continued spectacular exploits between the sticks earned Adrian a first Spain call-up in August of the same year.

The Spaniard's standout moment came when his gloves were off, however, when he threw his mitts to the Boleyn Ground turf before firing his shootout penalty past Joel Robles to knock Everton out of the FA Cup in January 2015.
