Striker Toni Martinez joined West Ham United from Spanish club Valencia in July 2016.

Born in the village of Barrio del Progreso, near Murcia in south eastern Spain, Martinez joined Valencia at the age of 16 in 2013, featuring 16 times for the club's B team in 2015/16 and scoring regularly at every age-group level.

A prolific marksman for West Ham's U23 side, Martinez has also spent time on loan at Oxford United and Spanish second tier clubs Real Valladolid, Rayo Majadahonda and Lugo in recent seasons.

 

2018/19

Scored in the 1-1 pre-season draw with German Bundesliga club Mainz in Austria on 31 July 2018...Joined Spanish Segunda Division club Rayo Majadahonda on loan on 13 August 2018...Scored on his Segunda Division debut for Rayo Majadahonda in a 2-1 defeat at Real Zaragoza on 19 August 2018...Scored his second goal for Rayo Majadahonda in a 2-1 Segunda Division defeat at Tenerife on 25 November 2018...Totaled 16 Segunda Division appearances, including six starts, and two goals for Rayo Majadahonda...Started Rayo Majadahonda's Copa de Rey second-round win at Las Palmas on 13 September 2018 and third-round penalty shootout defeat at home to Sporting Gijon on 18 October 2018...Moved on loan to Spanish Segunda Division club Lugo on 18 January 2019.
