Quick, direct and a talented dribbler of the ball, Norway international Martin Samuelsen initially moved to English football with Manchester City at the age of 15.

The winger moved to West Ham United at 18, making his first-team debut in a UEFA Europa League qualifying match against Maltese club Birkirkara at the Boleyn Ground in July 2015.

Since then, he has been capped at senior level by Norway and been loaned to EFL clubs Peterborough United, Blackburn Rovers and Burton Albion and Dutch Eredivisie outfit VVV-Venlo.



Featured in the pre-season matches at FC Winterthur and Wycombe Wanderers in July 2018...Loaned to Dutch Eredivisie club VVV-Venlo for the season on 25 July 2018...Scored twice in VVV-Venlo's Dutch Cup first-round win at Westlandia on 25 September 2018.


Scored in each of West Ham's Checkatrade Trophy group-stage wins at Swindon Town and Bristol Rovers, helping the Hammers become one of just three U21 sides to reach the second round...Netted twice in nine Premier League 2 Division 1 fixtures, both of them away victories, at Sunderland and Manchester United...Named as an unused substitute for both meetings with Shrewsbury Town in the Emirates FA Cup third round in January 2018...Loaned to Championship club Burton Albion for the remainder of the season on 17 January 2018...Totaled nine appearances for Burton Albion in the EFL Championship.
