Exciting attacking midfielder Marcus Browne joined the Academy of Football at the age of eight.

A skilful player capable of playing across the forward line, Browne made his senior debut for West Ham United as a substitute in the UEFA Europa League Play-Off round draw at Romanian side Astra Giurgiu in August 2016.

Browne has also spent time on loan at EFL club Wigan Athletic and Oxford United.

 

2018/19

Traveled with the first-team squad for pre-season training and appeared in the 3-2 defeat by FC Winterthur in Austria on 8 July 2018...Joined EFL League One club Oxford United on a season-long loan on 24 July 2018...Scored his maiden EFL goal in a 3-2 League One defeat at home to Accrington Stanley on 21 August 2018...Added his second EFL League One goal of the campaign in a 3-0 win at home to Shrewsbury Town on 27 October 2018...Netted in a 3-0 Checkatrade Trophy group-stage win at Wycombe Wanderers on 6 November 2018...Scored twice and assisted another in a 4-2 EFL League One home win over Rochdale on 27 November 2018.

2017/18

Returned from injury to appear in the Premier League 2 Division 1 defeats by Leicester City and Liverpool in September 2017...Returned from a second spell on the sidelines as a substitute in the Checkatrade Trophy group-stage defeat at Wycombe Wanderers on 28 November 2017...Featured in the U23s' final ten Premier League 2 Division 1 matches, starting the final nine of them and captaining the team on seven occasions...Scored and assisted in the 2-2 Premier League 2 Division 1 draw at home to Tottenham Hotspur on 12 February 2018...Named on the substitutes' bench for the Premier League fixtures at Swansea City and home to Burnley on 3 and 10 March 2018 respectively...Netted his second Premier League 2 Division 1 goal of the season to secure a 1-0 win at Manchester City on 5 April 2018...Scored all four goals in the 4-0 Premier League 2 Division 1 win at Everton on 9 April 2018...Totaled 13 appearances, six goals and two assists at U23/U21 levels.

Kicked-off the season as a member of Slaven Bilic's first-team squad, making his debut as a substitute in the UEFA Europa League Play-Off round draw at Romanian side Astra Giurgiu on 18 August 2016...Named on the bench for the return leg at London Stadium a week later...Was an unused substitute in the Premier League draw at Liverpool and home win over Burnley in December 2016...Signed a new three-and-a-half year contract in January 2017...Loaned to Championship club Wigan Athletic in the New Year, but did not make a league appearance for the Latics...Made his sole appearance for Wigan Athletic as a substitute in an FA Cup fourth round defeat at Manchester United on 29 January 2017...Totaled 16 Premier League 2 Division 2 appearances for West Ham United U23s as the Hammers gained promotion, scoring three goals and assisting three more...Played every minute of West Ham United U23s took on Coventry City, Wycombe Wanderers and Northampton Town in the Checkatrade Trophy, captaining the team in a 3-0 defeat against the Chairboys on 4 October 2016...Ended the season by being nominated for the Premier League 2 Player of the Year award.

2014/15

Totaled 15 U18 Premier League appearances, 12 of them starts, and one goal...Scored an incredible free-kick in the 2-0 Champions Cup win over Real Madrid at Tottenham Hotspur on 6 September 2014...Netted his only U18 Premier League goal of the season in a 2-2 draw at Chelsea on 13 September 2014...Appeared in the U18s' 2-1 FA Youth Cup third-round defeat at Southampton on 9 December 2014.
