Exciting attacking midfielder Marcus Browne joined the Academy of Football at the age of eight.

A direct forward-thinking player capable of playing across the forward line, Browne made his debut for West Ham United as a substitute in the UEFA Europa League Play-Off round draw at Romanian side Astra Giurgiu on 18 August 2016.

Browne spent part of the 2016/17 season on loan at Wigan Athletic, for whom he featured in an FA Cup defeat by Manchester United at Old Trafford.



Returned from injury to appear in the Premier League 2 Division 1 defeats by Leicester City and Liverpool in September 2017.


Kicked-off the season as a member of Slaven Bilic's first-team squad, making his debut as a substitute in the UEFA Europa League Play-Off round draw at Romanian side Astra Giurgiu on 18 August 2016...Named on the bench for the return leg at London Stadium a week later...Was an unused substitute in the Premier League draw at Liverpool and home win over Burnley in December 2016...Signed a new three-and-a-half year contract in January 2017...Loaned to Championship club Wigan Athletic in the New Year, but did not make a league appearance for the Latics...Made his sole appearance for Wigan Athletic as a substitute in an FA Cup fourth round defeat at Manchester United on 29 January 2017...Totaled 16 Premier League 2 Division 2 appearances for West Ham United U23s as the Hammers gained promotion, scoring three goals and assisting three more...Played every minute of West Ham United U23s took on Coventry City, Wycombe Wanderers and Northampton Town in the Checkatrade Trophy, captaining the team in a 3-0 defeat against the Chairboys on 4 October 2016...Ended the season by being nominated for the Premier League 2 Player of the Year award.


Missed the opening two Premier League 2 fixtures of the season before starting the third - a 5-0 defeat at Arsenal on 28 August 2015...Scored his first goal of the Premier League 2 season in a 4-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers on 19 October 2015...Assisted goals in the Premier League 2 victories over Brighton & Hove Albion and Derby County in November 2015...Earned himself a place on the bench for the Premier League fixture at Norwich City on 13 February 2016...Was also a substitute against Blackburn Rovers in the FA Cup game a week later...Captained the side and scored in a 4-1 Premier League 2 win at Newcastle United on 11 March 2016...Bagged another against Liverpool in the Premier League Cup win at Rush Green...Played a major role in both legs of the Premier League Cup final win over Hull City.


Totaled 15 U18 Premier League appearances, 12 of them starts, and one goal...Scored an incredible free-kick in the 2-0 Champions Cup win over Real Madrid at Tottenham Hotspur on 6 September 2014...Netted his only U18 Premier League goal of the season in a 2-2 draw at Chelsea on 13 September 2014...Appeared in the U18s' 2-1 FA Youth Cup third-round defeat at Southampton on 9 December 2014.
