A technically-gifted central midfielder, Alfie Lewis has long been considered one of the brightest prospects within the Academy of Football.

A former pupil at Belfairs Academy in Leigh-on-Sea, the Essex-based youngster made his Premier League 2 debut as long ago as February 2016, when he was just 16.

A creative player, Lewis joined West Ham United at the age of nine.



Scored his first Premier League 2 Division 1 goal of the season in a 6-4 home defeat by Manchester City on 19 August 2018...Appeared and started ten times in the opening 15 Premier League 2 Division 1 games of the season...Started all three EFL Trophy group-stage ties at Bristol Rovers, Exeter City and Yeovil Town.


Started the FA Youth Cup third-round defeat by Blackpool on 15 December 2017...Started eight times in U18 Premier League South, scoring and assisting in a 2-1 home win over Leicester City on 10 February 2018...Impressed with his performance in a fundraising friendly match at Dagenham & Redbridge on 21 March 2018...Featured seven times in Premier League 2 Division 1, starting on four occasions, including victories at Liverpool, Manchester City and Everton.


Established himself as a regular starter in U18 Premier League South as a first-year scholar...Scored in the opening two U18 Premier League South fixtures of the season to secure wins at Reading and home to Tottenham Hotspur...Featured six times in Premier League 2, starting four times...Added a third U18 Premier League South goal of the season in a 5-2 win at Norwich City on 15 October 2016...Scored one goal and assisted another in the 3-1 U18 Premier League South victory at Swansea City on 28 January 2017...Started all three EFL Trophy group-stage ties at Coventry City, Wycombe Wanderers and Northampton Town...Totaled 13 U18 Premier League South appearances, four goals and two assists...Ended the season with 26 appearances, four goals and two assists to his name across all three age-groups...Signed a new contract until summer 2020 on 24 May 2017.


Made his Premier League 2 debut at the age of 16 years and five months in a 1-1 draw at Wolverhampton Wanderers on 22 February 2016...Made his second Premier League 2 appearance of the season in a 1-1 home draw with Blackburn Rovers on 7 March 2016.
