West Ham United signed Senegal international El Hadji Malick Diouf on 15 July 2025 on a long-term contract.

The left-sided full-back or wing-back joined the Hammers from Slavia Prague, having played a key role in the club’s dominant Czech First League title win in 2024/25, and also gained valuable experience in UEFA competitions.

An outstanding athlete and strong competitor with an eye for both scoring and creating goals, Dakar-born Diouf made his senior international debut in September 2024 was part of the Senegal team which secured an historic victory over England in June 2025.

Born in Senegal’s capital city Dakar on 28 December 2004...Began his football career with Galaxy Football Academy at the age of 13 and spent four years there developing his talents...Had a spell at Académie Mawade Wade at the age of 17...Joined Norwegian Eliteserien club Tromsø at the age of 18 in February 2023 following a successful trial the month before...Debuted for Tromsø in a Norwegian Cup win over Start on 12 March 2023 and scored a penalty in a shootout victory...Made his Eliteserien debut for Tromsø in a goalless home draw with Vålerenga on 9 July 2023...Made 21 appearances for Tromsø in 2023, scoring three goals and helping the club finish third in the Eliteserien and qualify for the UEFA Europa Conference League...Transferred to Slavia Prague in January 2024 and scored on his debut in a First League win at Karvina on 18 February 2024...Made his European debut for Slavia Prague in a UEFA Europa League round of 16 tie at AC Milan on 7 March 2024, but was sent-off in the first half...Played in all four UEFA Champions League qualifiers and eight Europa League group-stage ties for Slavia Prague in 2024/25...Scoring seven goals, assisted three and kept 15 clean sheets as Slavia dominated the First League, conceding just 18 goals in 35 matches and winning the title by 16 points...Made his senior Senegal debut in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Burundi in September 2024. Played the full 90 minutes of his country’s historic 3-1 win over England on 10 June 2025, as the Lions of Teranga became the first African nation to defeat England.
