A young No9 with an eye for goal, Jerry Umolu proved himself in the West Ham United U16s in the 2021/22 season, earning his debut with the U18s. 

Having come off the bench in the opening day defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, Umolu made his second outing count with a fine finish for the U18s in the 5-2 win away at West Bromwich Albion in January 2022. 

The attacker signed Scholarship terms with the Hammers in June 2022.

Umolu featured seven times in all competitions for the U18s during the 2022/23 season, scoring two goals against Sunderland and Southampton, as Kevin Keen’s side won the FA Youth Cup and the U18 Premier League South.
