West Ham United signed Croatia international attacker Nikola Vlašić on a five-year contract from Russian Premier League club CSKA Moscow in August 2021.

A teenage prodigy with Hajduk Split, Vlašić had already played more 250 senior matches for Hajduk, Everton and CSKA Moscow prior to his transfer to London Stadium, including over 100 for CSKA, where he scored 33 goals and assisted 21 more and was named Russian Premier League Footballer of the Year in 2020.

A regular for Croatia, he has been capped over 30 times and featured four times at the delayed UEFA Euro 2020 finals.
