A summer of international football awaits! UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 is nearly upon us as 16 countries prepare to battle it out to lift the coveted trophy on Sunday 27 July.
Held in Switzerland for the first time, the tournament will get underway in Thun on Wednesday 2 July when Iceland take on Finland with Basel, Bern, Geneva, Zurich, St.Gallen, Lucerne and Sion the other venues hosting the competition.
The 14th Women's European Championships will conclude at FC Basel's St. Jakob-Park - the largest stadium in Switzerland.
And there is plenty of Claret and Blue representation at this summer’s Euros, with five West Ham United women’s team players donning their country's colours in Switzerland.
Here is everything you need to know about the Hammers' involvement at UEFA Women’s Euro 2025…

Who has been called up?
UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 will be historic for many of our Hammers.
As is tradition, the hosting nation have been drawn in Group A where they will face Dagný Brynjarsdóttir’s Iceland, and Oona Siren and Eva Nyström’s Finland.
Midfielder Brynjarsdóttir will be representing Iceland, who booked their spot at this summer’s tournament after finishing second in qualification Group A4, for the fourth time at a European finals, having previously played in the 2013, 2017 and 2022 editions of the competition.
The 33-year-old has netted twice at the tournament before, scoring in 2013 against the Netherlands to secure Iceland's first-ever victory at the European Championships before she was on target against France in the 2022 edition of the competition.
Meanwhile, Siren and Nyström had to go through the play-offs to ensure Finland were one of the 16 countries battling it out in Switzerland. They eased past Montenegro 6-0 on aggregate before clinching a 2-0 aggregate success against Scotland in December.
This will be the pair's first-ever appearances at a major tournament and is a dream come true after they were inspired by the 2009 Women's Euros that was held in Finland.

Also heading to Switzerland is Hammers defender Amber Tysiak, who has once again been called up by Belgium. Her side have been drawn in Group B where they will face two-time runners-up Italy, Portugal and Spain.
This is Belgium’s third successive appearance at a European finals after they achieved qualification via play-off victories over Greece (5-0) and Ukraine (4-1) before the turn of the year.
Tysiak's first appearance at a major tournament with Belgium came at the 2022 Euros. Her side were agonisingly denied a place in the semi-finals of the competition when Linda Sembrant scored a 92nd-minute goal to clinch a 1-0 victory for Sweden at Leigh Sports Village.
Elsewhere, women’s team goalkeeper Kinga Szemik will forever be etched in Poland’s history as this summer will see them compete in their first-ever major tournament.
After also qualifying via the play-offs, Poland have been placed in Group C alongside Euro 2022 runners-up Germany, 2017 finalists Denmark and 1984 winners Sweden.
The 28-year-old, who played every Barclays Women’s Super League minute last term, has kept six clean sheets in her last eight international matches and will look to carry that form into the Euros.
Where can I watch the games?
