West Ham United appoint Adam Jeffrey as women's team assistant manager

West Ham United is delighted to announce the appointment of Adam Jeffrey as women’s team assistant manager.

Jeffrey, who joins the Hammers having spent the last two years as assistant coach at Crystal Palace, bolsters Rehanne Skinner’s coaching staff following the recent arrival of Steve Kirby.

During his time in south London, Jeffrey helped the Eagles achieve promotion to the Barclays Women’s Super League for the first time after their title-winning campaign in 2023/24.

Prior to his time at Palace, Jeffrey spent eleven years at Reading, where he led the U21 programme before becoming first-team coach of their women’s team - a role he upheld for seven years. During that time, the Royals achieved a fourth-place and two fifth-place finishes in the Women’s Super League, as well as reaching the semi-finals of the Women’s FA Cup.

Jeffrey is excited to get to work at Chadwell Heath and begin preparations for the upcoming WSL campaign.

“I’m proud to join West Ham United,” he said. “It’s a privilege to be part of such a historic Club with a strong identity, a passionate fan base and clear ambitions for growth and success in the women’s game.

“From the moment I arrived, I’ve felt the hunger and determination within the group, and I’m excited to contribute to a team that wants to push boundaries and compete at the highest level.

“I’m committed to helping the players develop, play a positive and dynamic style of football and build something really special here in east London.”

Manager Skinner is pleased to add someone with Jeffrey’s experience to her coaching staff.

“I’m delighted to welcome Adam to the Club,” she said. “Adam has a wealth of experience in the women’s game, and his attention to detail is something that will be invaluable when implementing our style of play on the grass.

“Adam lives and breathes football. His passion for the game is infectious, and I have no doubt that his winning mentality will be a huge asset for the group moving forwards.”

Everyone at West Ham United would like to welcome Adam to the Club and wish him every success in his new role.
