Head Coach Nuno Espírito Santo has provided an update on the fitness of Hammers duo Niclas Füllkrug and George Earthy ahead of Monday night’s Premier League clash against Brentford at London Stadium.
Germany international Füllkrug has made seven appearances in all competitions so far this term, and started both of Nuno’s first two games in charge away at Everton and Arsenal, but is now awaiting the result of a scan after picking up an injury since the trip to the Emirates.
During his pre-match press conference on Friday afternoon, our Portuguese boss also confirmed that Earthy remains on the sidelines, as he continues his recovery from a hamstring injury.
Nuno said: “He (Füllkrug) has just had a scan, and we’re waiting for the results. After that, we’ll be able to say exactly how long he’s going to be out. Hopefully he's back as soon as possible.
“It’s just George who is still out, apart from that. The rest are OK, including the players who have come back from international duty.”
Among the nine senior players who were away with their countries during the October window, Tomáš Souček is once again eligible for selection against the Bees having served a three-match suspension after being sent-off against Tottenham Hotspur in September.
