1. Reuniting with former coaches
West Ham United women’s team manager Rehanne Skinner used to coach new signing Ffion Morgan in Wales' youth set-up.
Morgan had represented her country at U15, U16 and U18 level before working with Skinner, and the pair will be reunited in east London. The forward - in her first interview with West Ham TV - joked she hasn't grown much since the last time they saw each other!
Also, Morgan enjoyed a stellar season working under new Hammers assistant manager Steve Kirby at Bristol City last term.
The 25-year-old won Bristol City’s Supporters’ Player of the Year award after she featured 20 times under Kirby in all competitions, registering six goals and four assists in the Barclays Women’s Super League 2.

2. From back to front
Our new No23 brings an abundance of versatility to east London, having played as a right-back in her formative years before working her way up the pitch.
A hard-working player, Morgan is known for her pace, which coaches quickly recognised, and subsequently they wanted to use her in more attacking areas. She also played up front for Wales at UEFA Women's Euro 2025.
3. She's a regular for Wales
After progressing through the youth groups, Morgan made her Wales debut as a teenager in 2017 against Northern Ireland in a FIFA Women's World Cup qualifier and, little did she know, the girl that walked around in Wales kits from a young age would later make history with her country.
Morgan, who currently has 46 international caps to her name, played an important role in helping Wales qualify for UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 - their first-ever major tournament. In fact, her maiden international goal came in a Euro 2025 qualifier against Kosovo, as her side cruised to a 6-0 victory in April 2024.

4. A crucial goal against Slovakia
But her second international goal proved more important. Wales were 2-0 down against Slovakia in their Euro 2025 play-off semi-final first leg when Morgan was introduced to proceedings. And in the 89th minute, the second-half substitute latched onto Jess Fishlock’s pass to curl a pinpoint finish into the far corner and halve the deficit heading into the second leg.
Morgan earned a start when the two teams met again in Cardiff, and she played 84 minutes as her team ran out 2-0 winners to book a play-off final with the Republic of Ireland.
Having started the first leg and come on as a substitute in the second, Morgan helped Wales clinch a 3-2 aggregate success against the Republic of Ireland to secure their spot at their first-ever European Championships.

5. An unforgettable summer
Morgan found out about her call-up to Wales’ squad for the Euros in June, less than a month before the tournament commenced in Switzerland.
What followed saw Wales spurred on by their red wall in each of their Group D matches against the Netherlands, France and England.
Although they bowed out at the group stage, Morgan featured in every match for Wales at the tournament, and left with memories that will stay with her forever.
She said: “My parents stayed up the whole time, which was really nice. Walking out onto the pitch and hearing those Welsh fans in the first game against the Netherlands, I won’t forget that, that was amazing.”

6. Social media star
Morgan has amassed more than 115,000 followers on TikTok, as well as 143,000 on Instagram, through her entertaining and relatable behind-the-scenes videos on social media.
Documenting what a day in the life of a footballer looks like, she has become an inspiration for the next generation of budding players and even gave fans an exclusive look of her journey at this summer’s Euros.
Morgan grew up inspired by Wales’ international stars, and now she has become one, encouraging people to either get into football, or be creative on social media.
