West Ham United can confirm women’s team assistant manager Rick Passmoor has departed the Club.
The former Notts County and Leeds United boss joined the Hammers in September 2023 as part of Rehanne Skinner’s coaching staff.
Following an eleventh-place Barclays Women’s Super League finish in 2023/24, Passmoor helped the Irons to a ninth-place finish last season as they set multiple Club records in the WSL, including the most points and most wins at home in a single season in the competition.
Women’s team manager Skinner said: “I would like to place on record my sincere thanks to Rick for his commitment and hard work throughout his time at West Ham United.
“Last season was a record-breaking campaign for us and Rick’s experience, energy and positivity played a big role in the progress that we made both on and off the pitch.
“It was a total pleasure working with Rick and, speaking on behalf of the whole group, I wish him every success for his next chapter.”
Passmoor added: “With 12 months left on my contract at West Ham United, I have had to make the tough decision to step back from my role at the Club for family reasons.
“What made my time over the last two seasons so special were the people. The people at Chadwell Heath, the catering team, the ground staff, the boys Academy and obviously the wider women’s department.
“A special mention must go to the gaffer, Rehanne, for asking me to be part of the journey. With her leadership, I'm sure there will be many more successes for the team moving forwards.
“I’d also like to say a big thank you to the fans. Keep backing the team and being noisy. Dagenham became a fortress last season and your passion and support is incredible, both home and away.
“Finally, all that’s left for me to say after the experience I’ve had in east London: once a Hammer, always a Hammer.”
Everyone at West Ham United would like to thank Rick for his contributions during his time at the Club and wish him every success moving forwards.
