Europa League night at London Stadium

Record number of Hammers fans set for big Europa League night

It’s official – West Ham United will be cheered on by the largest home support in the Club’s 127-year history in tonight’s UEFA Europa League round of 16 second leg with Sevilla!

With all 60,000 seats sold, London Stadium will be full to capacity as we seek to reach the quarter-finals of a major European tournament for the first time in 41 years.

And history will be made too, with over 59,000 Hammers fans making up more than 98% of the crowd – more than were in attendance for any of the previous 2,800-plus home games we have hosted since 1895!

Nights like this are what you deserve and we hope we have many more to savour in the months and years to come!
Joint-Chairmen David Sullivan and David Gold

Joint-Chairmen David Sullivan and David Gold paid tribute to the Claret and Blue Army, saying: “The support of West Ham United fans is truly what sets our Football Club apart from the rest.

“To have our biggest home crowd ever cheering the team on in our biggest European match in decades will inspire David Moyes and his players and we thank you all yet again for your loyalty and commitment.

“When we moved to London Stadium, our ambition was for you to be able to enjoy nights like this, with nearly 60,000 of you in the stands, singing Bubbles and shouting loud and proud for our team.

“Nights like this are what you deserve and we hope we have many more to savour in the months and years to come!”

West Ham United have welcomed more than 1.13million supporters to London Stadium this season, with fans enjoying unforgettable European nights under the lights, memorable Premier League victories over Liverpool, Chelsea and Leicester City, along with a thrilling Carabao Cup penalty shootout win over Manchester City.

The Hammers have the fourth-highest average attendance in the Europa League – 48,464 – behind only Barcelona, Celtic and Marseille, and the third-highest in the Premier League, ahead of the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea.
