Graham Potter hailed a 'really positive week' for his West Ham United side after they rounded-off their pre-season training camp in the Black Forest by beating 27-times Swiss champions Grasshopper Club Zürich 3-1 on Saturday afternoon.
Andy Irving, Callum Marshall and Lucas Paquetá were all on target as the Irons marked their return to the pitch with a controlled and ultimately winning performance in Switzerland.
More importantly for the head coach, he got 45 minutes each into a full squad of 22 players at Grasshopper's GC/Campus, and Potter was delighted with the exercise.
It was a really good workout for us.
Twenty-two players, all getting time on the pitch, it's the end of a really positive week, I think the team have worked well for all of it.
The group have come together nicely. We've had a really positive week here and it's nice to get out on the pitch. As I said, 22 players played and thee are lots of positives.
I thought El Hadji Malick Diouf did well.
You can see what he brings to the team. He attacked the back line a lot and got in some good crossing positions.
He looked dangerous, played with enthusiasm. He's only been with us a few days, but the first signs are really positive.

The first half was a good, controlled performance.
Andy Irving contributed to that well. It was nice for him to score. Jarrod did really well for the goal, too.
The second half was a bit more open, but I think Callum's goal was really well-taken and the penalty just kills it off. From a fitness perspective, from a tactical perspective, it was a really good day.
This camp was a good time to work with the players.
A good time to build fitness, to build understanding of the team, to build a connection with the group.
I think we've managed that well. Everybody's worked really hard, the staff have been great. It's been a really positive week.
It's always nice to win. That's what we play the game for, to win.
We've had a good foundation, a good platform to go from. Now we need to push on, get some more minutes in the players and then we're off to the States, so I'm looking forward to that.
That's going to be a really good trip. We've had a fantastic week now and it's given us a real good base. As I said, we have to push on again.
