Mason Terry joins Braintree Town on loan

West Ham United can confirm that Academy goalkeeper Mason Terry has joined National League side Braintree Town on a season-long loan.

The young Hammers’ FA Youth Cup-winning goalkeeper, who signed a new contract with the Club in March, continues his progression up the English football pyramid, having spent the last two seasons on loan in the Isthmian Premier Division and National League South respectively.

The 20-year-old shot-stopper was named Supporters’ Player of the Season during his first senior loan at Concord Rangers, and repeated the feat last term with Hornchurch in the National League South. Terry kept 17 clean sheets in 53 appearances for the Urchins and finished the season with three consecutive shutouts as the Essex side secured a ninth-place finish, their highest-ever in the division.

Terry now takes the next step in his development with Braintree Town, who earned promotion to the National League via the play-offs in 2024 and are preparing for their second consecutive campaign in the fifth tier.

Everyone at West Ham United wishes Mason the very best for his loan spell in the National League and looks forward to seeing his continued development with Braintree Town.
