Gideon Kodua joins Luton Town on loan

West Ham United can confirm that Gideon Kodua has joined EFL League One club Luton Town on a season-long loan with an option to make the transfer permanent in summer 2026.

Born in Newham, Kodua joined West Ham as a 12-year-old in 2017 and graduated from the Academy of Football six years later, having captained the U18s and scored in the FA Youth Cup final win over Arsenal at Emirates Stadium and led the youth team to the U18 Premier League South division title in 2022/23.

He has played 51 games for West Ham’s U18s, scoring 26 goals and adding 12 assists, then appeared 23 times for the development team, scoring seven goals and assisting two.

The winger joined League One side Wycombe Wanderers on loan in January 2024, then returned to the Buckinghamshire club on loan for the 2024/25 season, making 35 appearances and scoring three goals for the Chairboys across the two spells.

Everyone at West Ham United wishes Gideon every success for his loan spell at Kenilworth Road.
