On This Day: Reo-Coker's last-gasp goal stuns Wigan

West Ham United came from behind to snatch a last-gasp 2-1 Premier League victory at Wigan Athletic on this day in 2006.

Wigan had taken the lead just before the break with a long-range drive from Lee McCulloch, but Paul Scharner's weak header back to Wigan keeper Mike Pollitt dropped short, allowing Marlon Harewood to round the substitute goalkeeper and tap in to level seven minutes after half-time.

The game looked to be heading for a draw before Teddy Sheringham crossed for captain Nigel Reo-Coker, who coolly slotted home to win it for Alan Pardew's side.

The newly-promoted Irons went on to finish ninth in the Premier League and reach the FA Cup final that season.
