West Ham United players, staff, coaches, legends and fans paid their combined respects to the late, great Bobby Moore on this day in 1993.
West Ham's greatest ever player and the captain of England's 1966 World Cup heroics, Moore sadly passed away on 24 February 1993 at just 51-years-old.
The Club's first home match following Moore's passing came on 6 March against Wolverhampton Wanderers. The Boleyn Ground was embellished with flowers, scarve, memorabilia and flowers in memory of the Hammers' icon, while fellow 1966 World Cup winners Geoff Hurst and Martin Peters placed a floral replica of a West Ham shirt, showing Moore's number 6, on the centre spot before the game.
The Claret and Blue faithful applauded the tribute before perfectly observing a minutes' silence in memory of the former captain.
West Ham United also rested the No.6 for the match, with regular wearer Ian Bishop instead donning the No.12 as a one-off during the fixture.
West Ham would go on to win the match 3-1 as Trevor Morley, Julian Dicks and Matty Holmes each netted on an emotional day for all associated with the Club.
