Izzy Atkinson bagged her first goal in Claret & Blue since arriving this summer from Celtic, with the young midfielder showing great composure to slot the ball beyond Demi Lambourne.
The Hammers had to defend in the closing stages, but Paul Konchesky's team clinched all three points to climb to sixth in the WSL table.
