Double delight for West Ham United gamers with Jarrod Bowen and Said Benrahma

Bowen and Benrahma

Jarrod Bowen and Said Benrahma have become the latest West Ham United players to be recognised for their strong form this season in popular football gaming title, FIFA 22!

Bowen has been named in the EA SPORTS FIFA 22 Team of the Week after enjoying a fruitful festive period in Claret and Blue.

The No20 set up Benrahma’s goal against Southampton, before recording a hat-trick of assists in an unplayable performance in the 4-1 win over Watford at Vicarage Road.

Benrahma, meanwhile, has been granted a ‘Headliners’ card in Ultimate Team, recognising an excellent first half of the season from the Irons’ No22, who has recorded eight goals and four assists in 28 appearances in all competitions.

Headliners are dynamic player cards, meaning that, as their respective players perform well and gain Team of the Week or Team of the Group Stage upgrades, they will always retain a plus-one higher rating.

What’s more, Headliners items will receive a further upgrade (plus-two higher than their latest upgrade) should their team register four back-to-back league wins in the current campaign.

Benrahma's card can be attained through a Squad Building Challenge, live now, which requires a relatively modest set of requirements to achieve.

A keen FIFA player himself, Bowen will likely be delighted to receive an in-game Team of the Week ‘in-form’ card, boosting his overall rating – already initially at a respectable 78 – within FIFA Ultimate Team up to a strong 82.

The forward’s FIFA card now boasts a superb dribbling rating of 83 (up from an initial 79) and pace attributes rated 81 (up from 76).

Bowen has also had his shooting attribute increased to 79 (from 74) and his passing to 78 (from 73).

Benrahma, meanwhile, is upgraded from a base rating of 77 to a whopping 86, incorporating plus-even increases to his pace, shooting and passing; a plus-ten boost to his dribbling; a plus-ten boost to his defending and a +12 bolster to his physical statistics.

Bowen becomes the eighth recipient of a ‘Special’ card in Ultimate Team this season, with Angelo Ogbonna, Rice and Kurt Zouma all included in the FIFA Team of the Week at different stages.

Rice also received a unique ‘Numbers Up’ card and Michail Antonio was reconfigured in the game in a Halloween-themed ‘Rulebreaker’ card.

Issa Diop received a UEFA Europa League ‘Road to the Knockout Stages’ item – which has already received one boost due to our qualification to the knockout round – and Benrahma was rewarded for his fine European form with a ‘Team of The Group Stage (TOTGS)’ card, meaning West Ham’s ninth, Benrahma’s Headliners card, will stay ahead of this card in rating.

West Ham United fans will be able to collect Bowen’s Team of the Week card in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team packs as of 6pm on Wednesday 5 January, and Benrahma’s in a special Squad Building Challenge (SBC) which commenced at the same time.
